YOU CAN NOT LEAD IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN THERE

Complete the Meeting Aesclepius mp3 (located in the Doc Sharing area). Describe your meditative practices for the week and discuss the experience. Explain how mindfulness or meditation has fostered an increase in your psychological or spiritual wellness. How can you continue to apply these practices in your life to foster greater health and wellness?

I find try to get the habit of doing these exercise can help with spiritual growth. I believe that physical, emotional and mental health needs to be tested from time to time. Meditation has allowed me to witness my reactions quite easily. It’s natural for me to spontaneously go into a calm-abiding consciousness during the day as well which brings me overwhelming peace and incredible serenity.

Describe the saying: "One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself" (p.477). How does this apply to the health and wellness professional? Do you have an obligation to your clients to be developing your health psychologically, physically, and spiritually? Why or why not? How can you implement psychological and spiritual growth in your personal life? I think that the writer is saying that people will do what they like and how can you show me something that you know nothing about. Like how can you tell me about being married and you are not. I can’t preach to another about understanding their own mental/emotional hang-ups if I don’t work to understand my own. Therefore I try to be very curious when I get triggered and understand my unconscious fears and motivations.

Always seek GOD wisdom before my own thought Meditation and pray. A men should pray at all time for guidance.

  1. It is great to be able to witness your own reactions. That is a real skill. I strive to have the ability to go to a calm-abiding consciousness at will. Way to go!
