Unit 6- Loving Kindness & Integral Assessment
IN life we must focus and understand the world.
Loving kindness is a universal concept found in many religions, including Buddhism and Christianity. It is about accepting things as they are, it's kindness, good will, love, amity and friendship. In order to benefit from loving kindness, we have to alter our thoughts. There is no better way to start practicing loving kindness by giving ourselves love. Start to accept our own shortcomings. Notice that no one is perfect, so now is a good time to stop belittling yourself. When we are kind, friendly, honest, open and loving to ourselves, we gradually develop the emotional capacity to be kind to the people around us. I close my eyes, visualize a situation that has been bothering me, I get the job no extra money this was a disappointing event. I focus on new ways to get a rise and how to put it to work. Loving kindness meditation, help me to let go of the negative self image and the past mistakes that I had made by thinking of better ways to work with these things.. I learn to see that I can grow and evolve, and there is no need to drill on the past as long as I learn the lessons they are trying to teach you. I was able to gradually see that although I have my imperfections, also have a side that is very gorgeous, loving and wise. When you start to develop this loving kindness towards myself, I have a better self image, and become ready to enjoy what life can offer.

3. Describe the exercise and assessment process. What did you discover about yourself? What area have you chosen to be a focus of growth and development? Why? What are some specific exercises or activities that you can implement to foster greater wellness in this area?
For me I think the exercise was something that might have been needed. I am very happy with my life, the people in it and so on. I do not need anything and want very little, I try to be humble and thankful for what I have, However there is time when I lick focus and need to grow in this area but thought meditation and prayer I can see a better path. I know that distress can be hard but with learning how to focus on love and kindness we can be healed. Kindness and stay positive is the key to a health live have a bless week. PAPA CHEF
I think it is goods that you have come to a point that many are so far from in the, just liking who you are. For women it is always a bit more challenging. The world created us and the people (parents, men, government etc. put us in a place that left many feeling low self worth. The 60's well as far back as the 40's in the Women's Movements started women to think for them selves and to feel they have the ability to do much that a man can do. Granted many harm themselves getting to a point that they feel good about them selves but many such as myself have reached the point of love and appreciating of who and what we are. In all the beauty, softness, and abilities that we can provide as being women it is time to come back home to raise the children and feed the man and know you hold a lot of power in the softest of ways.
ReplyDeleteGood Post. i am glad you are sound in mind and body for the most part.
I couldn't agree more with your paragraph on loving kindness. It is so important to have a positive approach in life. To cherish those who you share your life with and be satisfied when you lay down each night, reminiscing of the days with little or no regret. No one is perfect, but it is good to feel satisfied with the way you are as a person, believing in yourself is a key to success!
ReplyDeleteThe start to everything is loving yourself. If you cannot love yourself then you cannot love others. Positive attitude in your everyday life makes it so much better. I have enjoyed all these exercises, some are harder than others but I feel that this is making a huge impact in my life.
